Member Benefits

In addition to our ongoing marketing endeavors, membership in the Hocking Hills Tourism Association allows you to participate in many HHTA programs designed to more effectively market your business. These programs include:

Brochure Distribution

Your promotional brochure is displayed in the Hocking Hills Regional Welcome Center and the Visitor Center in Laurelville. Presently, nearly 47,000 visitors receive information services in HHTA facilities each year.

Hocking Hills Visitors Guide

With an annual distribution of nearly 240,000 copies, this quality publication helps to promote the region to visitors. Each HHTA member will be listed in the guide in useful charts that include members’ phone numbers and websites. Only HHTA members are promoted in the Guide.

Website Listing and Link

www.1800hocking.com is an informational website containing descriptions, phone numbers and links to every HHTA member. The site is publicized in all of our marketing efforts.

Hocking Hills Gift Certificate Program

Participation in this program is free for our members.  The certificates can be purchased in various ways and "spent" at any of our participating member businesses.  (Check out the link on our website's front page.)

Referral System

Hundreds of specific inquiries are made to HHTA for varied services and products, via our phone line, website, walk-ins at the Welcome Centers and by email.  Best efforts are made to meet those requests by referring to HHTA members.

Business Leads

HHTA marketing activities result in many business leads. In the Members Only section on our website, members have access to permissioned visitor leads from our website, which includes visitors who have indicated that we may share their mailing addresses with member businesses.

Calendar of Events

HHTA compiles an annual Calendar of Events for distribution in weekly press releases, on the website, and through other marketing avenues.  For a nominal fee, calendar listings are  printed in the Visitors Guide.

Lodging Availability System

For an additional fee, HHTA lodging members may take advantage of this online system which allows visitors to check lodging availability. Lodging availability requests at the Welcome Center are matched through this system as well.

Participation in HHTA Events and Marketing Efforts

HHTA sponsors the Hocking Hills Indian Run and other promotional events.

HHTA Newsletter

Members receive a monthly newsletter updating travel and tourism issues in Hocking County.  Members may submit news for the publications, or add an insert for $50.

Organizational Involvement

The Annual General Conference is held each February and serves as an annual meeting for all HHTA members.  Three trustee-at-large positions on the HHTA Board of Trustees are filled by members elected by the membership.  Members are also encouraged to become important decision makers within HHTA by working on various committees.

Member Identification

A window logo is distributed to each member to identify supporters of Hocking Hills Tourism. The HHTA logo is also available for members to use in promotional materials.

Member Discount Program

Members have the opportunity to offer discounts to other members of HHTA.  Discounts are listed both in a Member-to-Member Discount document and in the Membership Directory, both available on-line in the Members Only section of our website.

Office Assistance

Members may use the office’s copy machine at inexpensive rates. Labels of the entire HHTA membership are also available for a nominal fee.

Member Networking Breaks

Breakfast, lunch or evening breaks are scheduled several times a year for HHTA members to meet one another, learn about business-related topics and exchange ideas.
