These monthly programs are reminiscent of Literary Guild evenings of long ago, and include a variety of offerings such as guest authors, discussions of poetry or books, participatory presentations and readers’ theater events. Live music and refreshments round out each evening’s program. Upcoming evenings include:

May 21 – Otterbein College Seniors will discuss and demonstrate the links between poetry and music through songs, violin pieces and poetry recitation.

June 11 – Ann Faris, a member of the Vinton Co. Quilt Guild, will discuss the book Hidden in Plain View, which covers the use of quilt patterns to convey information vital to escaping slaves using the Underground Railroad.
