Public Powwow in the Hocking Hills
Held at the Hocking Hills Market Outdoor Event Center on July 31 & Aug. 1, 2010, this event honors a Native American hero from the past (Chief Logan of the Mingo Tribe, on the Eastern Frontier), and gives attendees a look at Native American history and traditions. It's intertribal, so all dancers and drummers are welcome. Free primitive camping - bring chairs, blankets to sit on. Pre-1840's reenactors welcome and wanted! Powwow proceeds to help Special Friends of Hocking County (similar to Big Brothers & Big Sisters).
