Volunteer Vacations

New in 2012 - Volunteer Vacations

Want to make a difference on your next vacation?  The Hocking Hills State Park and Lake Hope State Park will be offering volunteer opportunities one weekend every month.  You can spend a few hours of your vacation and take home the knowledge that your visit made a difference.  You will be assisting the staff of Hocking Hills State Park with trails and facilities.  Enjoy the beautiful scenery with a purpose.  Your contribution will be appreciated by the over 3 million annual visitors to the parks.

Crafting for a Cause

In partnership with The Bowen House Center for Art & Education, there will be volunteer opportunities to participate in craft projects for the benefit of local non-profit organizations.  The Bowen House's new Art in the Alley program will have art and craft based programs every Saturday with the third Saturday of each month dedicated to a Community Project.  These volunteer opportunities will benefit community organizations such as the local food banks and the new homeless shelter and soup kitchen.  See details below.
